What can you put in a skip bin?

Our skip bins are suited to a multitude of purposes, but you should let us know if you are unsure what you can place in the bins.

In general, you can place these kind of items in a skip bin

  • Glass and ceramics
  • Household items
  • Old appliances with glass materials
  • Wood, metal and aluminium
  • Cabinets, mirrors or kitchen utensils
  • Green waste
  • Some e-waste items

If you need to do bricks, concrete or similar building waste you need to be sure to order a heavy-duty skip bin built for this purpose.

These items CAN be included on TOP of your general rubbish, making sure that they are still BELOW the top of the skip, but have extra costs*

  • Paints
  • Liquids of any kind (any containers you are wanting to recycle should be empty)
  • Batteries
  • Flammable liquids, products such as Gas Bottles
  • TVs and Monitors
  • Asbestos
  • Tyres
  • Fluorescent Tubes
  • Fridges, Freezers
  • Plasterboard
  • Medical Waste (including needles and sharps)
  • Solvents
  • Oil, Petrol, Diesel
  • Explosives and fireworks
